The crash happened on Friday, Nov. 1, when a vehicle crashed on South Broadway (Route 9) in the village of Irvington-on-Hudson and became wedged between a telephone pole and a wall, according to Irvington EMS.
Thanks to teamwork between the village's police, fire, and EMS departments, the driver was successfully taken out of the wrecked car and placed into medical care using the Jaws of Life, fire officials said.
Information about the cause of the crash was not released.
